Golf to Keep in Shape

Golf is a growing hobby amongst people who want to exercise. Although most people play golf for the competitive element, it is also an ideal way to keep in shape. Even though you think golf may not be comparable to a fitness class, you must take into account the amount that the average golfer walks on each game. As well as all the practice lessons where they are practicing their shot and it is clear to see that playing golf does involve a lot of exercise.

Weekly fitness classes are a common way that most people get fit. Many think that in order for them to get fit they must attend a class held at the local gym on a weekly basis, and it is true that if the individual does attend then they will increase their fitness. The problem arises when the individual looses their motivation. As most of these classes are held in the evening many people find it hard to actually attend these fitness classes.

The motivation that is involved in going out of the house to the local gym is great, and it is easy to understand why most people do not regularly attend. However with golf, the motivation is completely different.

It is true that the fitness class will probably burn off more calories than a game of golf, but because people are more likely to attend a game of golf this should be looked at as a good alternative. When compared with each other, there is no doubt that those who are involved in a game are more likely to attend. If you find it hard to get motivated into your nightly fitness class it might be a good idea to look at golf.

Once you feel that you are attending something that is totally pleasurable rather than painful, you are much more likely to go. So perhaps it~s a good time to invest in a set of golf clubs, and time to ditch the leotard!
